For 2008 I will focus on racing the complete AMA Supersport Championship Series and selected Formula Extreme races along with my teammate, and fellow California Superbike School Coach Josh Galster. I will continue to work at selected CSS school dates throught the United States and also as a freelance writer for various magazines. Stay tuned for news and updates.

"I want to thank you for your courtesy and kindness in the time you spent talking with my daughter and her friend at last week's Cal speedway practice day. It was a big deal for the girls to see a woman riding competitively and they wanted to meet you. I know that when at the track you are working but the graciousness you showed in taking the time for an autograph (the helmet) a picture (on your bike no less) and a chat meant a lot. You now have three more fans. Keep it up. Maybe one day you'll see Logan at one of your Cal Superbike School sessions. Best wishes for a successful season and many more to come." Tom Joos

"Thanks for taking a minute yesterday to talk to my daughter Victoria.  She's now your newest little fan! I appreciated it because I try hard to tell her that girls can do anything boys can do, and even in kindergarten she's already being told that's not true.  You helped make her Dad look right again.  She was just stunned to meet you! So again, thanks." Daryl Tschoepe

I just finally watched the BMP Supersport race. Started 41st finished 30th.....Nice job! I wish they had shown some of your race on TV. I’m really looking forward to reading your race review for that one! Congratulations and best wishes." Derek

“Congratulations on your finish at Laguna Seca. As a retired roadracer, I know how hard you work. Keep it up!” Dave Parsons

“I may be a bit old for the job description, but I'd love to be your Umbrella Boy next time you're at Laguna Seca.” Peter

“I was worried because your old web site would not open. Now I understand - you went Green! Clint and I still brag about you and how fast you could leave us on the race track. I hope you are doing great! Take care. God bless” Captain Steve Howell

“I was using your site to show my almost 3 year old daughter that girls can ride motorcycles (very quickly I might add). She had just had her first motorcycle ride with Dad (me) on the DRZ400.Good luck at Mid Ohio. Maybe you can give Chris a run for his money!” Rick Bond

“Greetings from Afganistan! I just read your article in Motorcycle Mojo (Aarch/April), which lead me to your site here. The article brings back memories of my trips in the rain (all of them), and how fast one has to learn to adjust. Too bad I can't ride or get to any races this year, I am a civilian driver at Kandahar Air Base supporting the Canadian Army here, I found the magazine in Canada house while doing a bus run at 3am. Will you be racing at Mosport during the \'08 season? Best of everything and good luck racing!” Stefaan

“Misti, I just took the California Superbike School at Mid-Ohio and you were my instructor for the day. I just wanted to say a big thank you for helping me out! You were super cool, always had words of encouragement and never pushed me past my comfort zone. I am a father of two and a husband so a bunch of people depend on me not being too selfish. This is for me 'just-for-fun' (never gonna be a pro racer), thank you sooooo much for making it a blast!” Brian Schrock

Misti, I don’t know if you actually read these or not, but WOW, I am thrilled to read your story! I am 25, have been riding streetbikes for almost 8 years, and have always been crazy about riding. I want to start racing, but not exactly sure the best way to start. Some friends and I are going to go to some track days, we figure that will get us in less trouble than we get into on the streets, and hopefully that will take me somewhere farther. I am currently in Japan on an extended stay and the thing I think I miss most is my 636. I am hoping to be back to watch the race at Laguna Seca. Will you be there? If you have any tips/strategies for getting my foot in the door, I would Love to hear from you. You seem like a really cool, motivated woman with some awesome interests. Thanks for your time and your story, I was glad to come across it. Maybe you'll see my name in one of the magazines you write for one day! ;)” Shelina Moreda -

“Wow...what exciting stories about the 2 AMA events...I thought I'd like to tryout for your boyfriend, but what a lot of work is involved...if you make road atlanta i'll try and look you up...you’re doing very well and i'm impressed....no need to write back...i know you’re very busy...just wanted to say i'm pullin for you....”stantheman

“Hi Misti, stopped by to check out the site after seeing you race at VIR (on speed channel) in August. I had no idea that there were females competing in the AMA onsuch a high level! I have to say i'm quite impressed with your story on the site, not only because you\'re one of the few pioneering females charging hard in this sport, but because it reflects that you are someone who isn't afraid to follow their dreams. I'm 24 years old and have just decided to begin racing (probably WERA), it is something i have always dreamed of doing and now i\'m finally going to pursue it. I also have plans to attend road racing schools in the future, CA SBK being on of them.(maybe you'll be my coach!) Your story is inspirational and i hope that in a few years my own story can mirror yours (with progression and sponsorship). keep racing i hope to see you on tv and maybe at superbike school next year!” Sincerely, Shane Sherer

“Hi Misti, You were my coach at Blackhawk Farms, IL on Aug. 13. With no exaggeration and in complete honesty you are the best of the teachers/coaches I've had for a number of different \"risk\" type sports which have included ski racing, scuba, and climbing. The class was great, and your ability to spot mistakes and explain what was needed was a large part of my feeling of success. I'm certainly looking forward to future enrollment...my best wishes for you in your racing career.” Dave Gamble

"Misti you have achieved a level of success that literally millions can only dream about and you have done it in such a short period of time. What your first track was what in 2001? What's up with that!!!!! ; ) When you ride out onto the grid, just remember girl that you are a winner - no question Misti Hurst is a winner! I wish I could be there in person to cheer you on. You go girl..." Kevin Kane

"Hey Misti, I saw you a couple weeks ago at the California Superbike School at Willow Springs. I was just on gsxr.com and read one of your posts and then I saw the link to your site. I read your bio and think you have a really good outlook on life and I agree that you should "open up as many doors as possible." I am new to the sport of motorcycling and am addicted now. Thanks for being an inspiration and best wishes for the road ahead. Oh, and your website is badass. Ride safe!" Randy

"Misti, Thank you for your constructive instruction, patience, upbeat attitude, and knowing exactly what to say to make my first California Superbike School not only a great learning experience, but also a lot of fun. I wish you the very best in the future and hope that you will be on the track in September at Laguna Seca. I fly jets for a living and after looking at your website, I have to say... you're living the dream. Best Wishes." Christian Monterey, CA

"Misti, so nice to visit your website. I used to work with your Dad in Vancouver back in '72 - '77. Hard to believe that we have had children who are doing their "thing" and are making their mark in the world today.Good luck in all your racing endeavors and I will follow the scene on TV in the future to watch your progress. If ever your race schedule brings you to Nova Scotia, please give me a call and let me know you will be here as I would love to see and meet you.All the best to you and God bless." Peter Oland from Nova Scotia

"Hey misti! I think its great what you have done for riding! I saw a program on the telly about you and thought you were great! Keep up the good work!!" Gems from London England

"Hey Misti!! WOW!! I'm so happy to see that you've pursued racing and, my god, it certainly shows that it agrees with you. A couple of times your name has come up in conversation with my friends up here and Ive said how I know this girl (you) and ANYTHING you do you do well and excel at it. I think its great how anything you seem to touch you make it an art, a part of you and inspire other people to do the same. Your website here is also an example. I'm sure theres a lot of women, and men, who see this and maybe meet you and have your energy rub off on them and, in turn, they pursue their dreams. I wanted to say hello and say that I'm very happy to see you are doing so well for yourself." Angie from Wells, BC

"We saw you on that Motorcycle Girl show on the Discovery Channel the other night... we thought you had more talent, spoke better and had better hair than the woman who was the feature of the show. Plus, her bike was UGLY as all get out!! Pink and blue?!?!?! She must be color-blind!! Anywho, keep up the riding and we hope to see you up in the big leagues someday soon!! Peace!" Sassy from NYC, NY

"Hi, I saw your write-up in cycle canada and thought I would check out your web site. (great site and best of luck with your season). I ride a modified GS 1150 EF and drag race a mustang (10.70@ 124mph) anyway go girl." Rod Morrissey from Newfoundland

"You learned to ride in 2000, and were successfully racing in 2002?! Amazing!" Jonny from Victoria, BC.

"Hey Misti, You have a fabulous website! I cant believe how well youve done with racing and stunts too. best wishes for all your endevours." Nitai, Heather and Sudama from Wiarton, Ontario.

"Wicked bio you've got there. I think I may have seen you on T.V. once... I know I've heard about you through the grape vine in the Vancouver circle of motorcycle riders. Just thought I'd drop in, say hi and good luck in the next season." Jason from North Vancouver
