about misti

My mission: To lead by example as a racer, coach, writer, and mom—blending skill, vulnerability, and grit to help others grow on two wheels and in life.

Welcome to Life in the Fast Lane — adventures on two wheels… with kids in tow!

the road so far

I’m a former AMA Pro 600 Supersport and FX Racer,
a certified Level III California Superbike School Coach Worldwide, and a columnist for Motorcycle Mojo and Adventure Bike Rider magazines.

I’ve also worked as a freelance writer,  pr/media specialist, mountain bike instructor, and, my toughest role yet,  I’m a mom of two incredible kids, Ashton (16) and Kai (14).

sharing the ride

I’m passionate about helping riders become the best versions of their riding selves. Writing my stories and this website started as a way to stay connected to the sport and community I love — even when mom duties kept me from spending weekends racing or riding.

fast lane talk

Here you’ll find me talking about:

  • Racing & track days

  • Riding skills & cornering technique

  • Suspension & gear

  • Moto kids & youth development

  • Dirt biking & mountain biking

  • The kick-ass people who live for two wheels

Over the years, I’ve had the honour of private coaching some of the fastest kids in North America, including the late Peter Lenz, John Gessner, Jonathan Finn, Jake Hayes, Ethan Reardon, Cole Reimchie, and my own kids, Ashton and Kai.

I’ve also trained with legends like Keith Code, Colin Edwards, Troy Corser, Rich Oliver, and many other talented riders, coaches, and racers.

life in the fast lane

As a family, we ride and adventure as often as possible. My motto? “Leap and the net will appear.” Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed — so you might as well live each day like it’s your last.

Here in Life in the Fast Lane, I’ll share the chaos, lessons, and joy of balancing motorcycles, travel, kids, coaching, work, and life.

ride better. race faster. life-proof your passion.
